Mark Zebley, musician.
I wasn't really much into music as a kid—I never even picked up a guitar until I'd already graduated high school. But once it happened, I never looked back.

These days I use music as an outlet, channeling thoughts and feelings into new riffs and songs. I find a lot of joy in the mixing process. Everything I do is self-recorded, self-produced, and self-released.
I love the creative dopamine hit of finally getting a song to "feel right," and then having the ability to go back and revisit that moment anytime I listen to the song.

As If We’d Forgotten
My favorite song on this album is probably Not Me. The final version ended up being the demo I had recorded and set aside, always thinking it needed more... but each time I came back, I'd fall in love all over again.

Mistakes Were Made
9 out of the 11 songs on this album were written and recorded in my spare bedroom during one-week sprints. Each Friday, I'd have a mini-release, share the latest song with my friends, and then furiously begin work on the next one. That was a fun couple months.

Songbird
Songbird was recorded with a cheap microphone, a borrowed guitar, and a copy of Audacity that I didn't know the first thing about using - and it shows, it definitely shows. But even still, there's a sincerity to these recordings that I think perfectly encapsulates what it meant to be Mark at 24.
